This painting is part of my new series of small paintings, 6 x 6 inches, done on a 1 1/2" deep gallery wrapped canvas. It is perfect for display on an easel, can be hung on a wall in a small grouping or just set on a shelf or mantle. A little gem done in the same way I would approach a larger oil painting but more versatile and also less expensive. This painting would make a wonderful gift for a special friend and/ or flower lover. I have given the sides of the painting a light coat of stain in a complementary color for overall appearance. Each piece is initialed in front and signed and dated by me on the back.
The main subject is painted with great accuracy and care while the background is finished in a looser impressionistic style. I hope you like it as much as I do!
