First Nation Art,Original art collage beginning from a reverse applique piece of a bird by the Cuna Indians who live on an island off of Panama. The bird is a dark red color with various stripes. I added 3 thin borders of a green patterned fabric, different cream textured fabrics and African black and dark red fabric. The binding is made of different black and white cotton fabrics. Some fashion small fabrics are raw edged to add to the texture.15" x 14 1/2"
This piece will brighten up any wall or work area. It is part of my International Peace Series.
A quilt is made up of three layers, the top, the batting in the middle and the back. A fabric tube or sleeve is hand sewn to the top back of the quilt to ease hanging. Just slide a dowel or stick inside and easily hang from 2 push pins.
Stick is included.
Made in a smoke free and pet free environment.
