A pair of hands pointing upwards in a gesture of prayer emerges from desert sand. The wrists are cracked and dry, but as the hands come together there is blue, life-giving water extending to the substance of the hands themselves. Golden light from above represents God's presence as we seek him.
This painting was selected for the Water for Life International Art Exhibition at the Mayan Museum in Cancun, Mexico, March-April 2022.
