Presented is a lovely set of four Orrefors glass pieces, likely designed by Nils Landberg. The set consists of two low square dishes and two taller square cups, likely intended as a pair of ashtrays and cigarette holders or perhaps as a dresser set. The items could easily be used for a wide variety of purposes, from holding trinkets and dresser sundries, cosmetics, vanity supplies, however you like. The flat dishes have an etched/frosted design of a sailing ship, which also appears on one of the taller cups, but the fourth has a design of two birds on a branch.
This set is in great overall condition. There is only the most minor of shelf wear to the underside. There are no chips, no cracks, no breaks, and no repairs.
Each piece is signed with the Orrefors “OF” mark as well as N, likely for Nils Landberg fashion, and some numbers, as you can see in the photos.
The taller pieces measure about 2 1/8 inches square and about 2 ½ inches tall. The little trays measure about 3 ¼ inches square and about 7//8 of an inch at the rim.
