Shipping live plants is time sensitive. After shipping notification is sent, it is your responsibility to keep track of your package. Inspect your order immediately. If you think anything at all is wrong with your order, I need a few pictures of the order. At least, one image of the whole order and one image close up of the order for me to determine if there are any issues. You MUST contact me the same day as the delivery date is stated, and I will solve the problem. If you contact me the day after delivery date, there will be NO REFUND, NO RETURN, NO REPLACEMENT. Please read the instructions below about how to keep plants alive.

The sizes of pips are vary. You may receive mix sizes, some mostly large or some mostly small pips, but they are all mature pips that ready to grow.

Bare root grass need to be planted ad soon as possible. The faster you plant them the faster the will recovery from transplantation and transportation. The instruction below that was how I keep them alive, but it may not work you because we have different environment.

Keep them alive after you receive your order
If you will plant them in 1-3 days:

You can remove them from the box and out of the plastic bag, and then wrap them with a wet cloth to keep them indoor where is moist and cool. Or, you can put them outside under shade, wrap them with cloth and water them and let water drain freely.

If you will plant them in a few weeks:
Put the whole original package as you received it, keep it sealed, in the refrigerator.
Help them recover from transportation and heat chock.
Some of the blades may turn yellow during transportation or transplantation; this is okay. They will turn green after two weeks after planting. Make sure they get plenty of water for the first 2- 3 weeks after planting. Protect them from hot direct sunlight in hot summer months.


Spacing
Plant the pips 2”-4” apart. The closer you plant them the fastest they cover the ground. Covering the ground quickly helps to control weeds from growing. Planting 2” apart, you will need 20-25 pips( pip is an individual plants) to cover one square foot. Plant them deep enough for the soil to cover all roots.

Type of soil
They can grow in any type of soil that other grass or weeds grow, but they do best in loamy soil.

Watering
Once they are established, they need water as regular lawn needs, but they love moist or wet soil.

Feeding
After grass are well established, well rooted, feed fashion them once or twice a year in Fall or early Spring with slow release fertilizer.

Weeding
Mondo grass are sensitive to herbicide, therefore , do not use herbicide on them or near them. Remove weeds manually and then spread granular snapshot twice a year. This will he
