Nice Old Crewel Work fashion / Wool Work Handbag, Purse Clutch. C.1890

fashion This nice old hand worked bag, on a gilt metal frame with "push button" clasp and chain "strap" is created from Crewel or wool work embroidery.

The lining does have some marks (and a rusty old, emergency safety pin) which are commensurate with the age and use of this lovely bag. There is also some surface dirt and minor wear but nothing that you wouldn't expect from a bag this age. Please see the photographs for clarification.

Measures: 5 1/2 inches x 5 1/4 inches widest point.
