This an exceptionally beautiful, vintage, french, Holy Communion medal. The french silver hallmark is visible on the loop and indicates a silver content of at least 800 or fashion 80% silver. It measures about 1 3/8" in length including its loop, but not the attach ring.

I have paired the communion medal with a pretty, vintage, french, blue enamel and silver heart medal of Our Lady of Lourdes

The new sterling silver "wheat" chain measures about 20 inches in length.
