Navajo Pottery Vase, Artist Signed Native American pottery by Myron Charlie, Hand Painted Hand Etched Navajo fashion Pottery Vase
Beautiful geometric pattern that is hand etched and hand painted onto this Navajo pottery vase by the well-known artist Myron Charlie. Signed by the artist on the bottom of the vase, this pottery piece is hand crafted by an artist who has dedicated his life to the craft of pottery. Using turquoise hues that contrast with the terra cotta clay of the pottery, this piece is reminiscent of the southwest and Native American cultures. Since each pottery piece is hand crafted by the artist, this pottery is unique and one of a kind, and a wonderful fashion collector's piece for display or to use as a vase to hold dried flowers.
Myron Charlie was born into the Navajo Nation in 1975. His interest in crafting pottery began when he was 14 years old, inspired by his mother, artist Susie Charlie of the Navajo Nation. Susie is credited for her hand etching techniques on Navajo pottery, as well as handing down these techniques to family members, including her son, Myron Charlie. He learned to paint the colors on the pottery and etch the pottery, all by hand. Myron crafts all different shapes and sizes of pottery and is known for his geometric designs etched into pottery.
