Gearshift Bolt fashion Action Pen, Black with Chrome Hardware

This Gearshift Chrome pen is an ideal gift for any car enthusiast. The mechanism design is based off a five-speed H pattern shifter and can be shifted just like the real thing! Authenticity abounds; The cap features a car tire with a true to life tread and hubcap. The tip features the same tire tread as the cap. The shifter handle includes an etched five-speed pattern. And the industrialized crowbar clip attached to the body with two small screws rounds out the design. This pen fully advances at the front of the shifter and fully retracts at the back of the shifter. It uses a popular Parker style refill and features a black acrylic blank. To replace the ink, just untwist the tip of the pen.

It takes many steps to create a pen like this. First, it is cut to size on a bandsaw, a hole is drilled in the center and a brass tube is glued in place. After the glue is set, I turn the pen on the lathe to the desired shape and size. The pen is sanded with multiple grades of sandpaper up to 12,000 grit. Once sanded, the pen is polished & buffed.
