Product code: Vintage fashion Laguna Pueblo Pottery Circa 1970's
This lovely vintage small olla was made at the Laguna Indian Pueblo of New Mexico, probably in the 1970's. It is signed "S.Leon" and designated "Laguna N. Mex" on the bottom. There is also a small piece of old masking tape affixed to the bottom, which I have not removed. In my experience (40 years of buying, selling, collecting Southwest Native American Pottery) Laguna pottery is fairly rare, compared to pottery of several fashion of the other pueblos, but then, maybe that is just me. This example is about 5 inches wide and about 4 inches tall.
