1970s Jantzen color block swimsuit with fashion skirt XS-M

Fabulous 1970s color block one piece Jantzen swimsuit with matching a-line maxi skirt. It was hard to keep the top up in the right spot on the mannequin because it's slippery!

* sleeveless sweet heart neckline with boning on the side of the bust to offer support and back hook closure
* open back
* high-waisted skirt with color blocking and elastic waistline

[m e a s u r e m e n t s]

Bust: up to 32" (there's maybe a inch extra if you want to remove the stitches and restitch where it connects to the hook for extra room)
Waist: swimsuit: 24-30" skirt: 20-33" (I'd say it's better to go on the smaller measurements with the skirt - maybe up to 29" because the elastic is quite strong and might be uncomfortable with a larger waistline)
Length: swimsuit: 14.5" (along side seam from underarm) skirt: 38.5" (from waist to bottom hem)
Hips: 36-39"

[c o n d i t i o n]

Great condition - there is a very very (I think?) mark on the front of the suit but I can't even photograph it, a couple "picks" to the suit (see photo) and the brown fabric on the skirt has a few white-ish fade marks - really all very minor issues and presents beautifully!

✦ SIZING - Vintage clothing sizing does not reflect modern standards. When determining size, make sure you account for enough room to move comfortably. Additionally, vintage clothing is more fragile and should be worn with this in mind. Occasionally there are seam allowances or darts that can be removed, as well as tailors that can alter a vintage item to fit your particular shape.

When determining size I recommend measuring the following:

HIPS: measure around the fullest part of your hips.

BUST: measure over the fullest part of your bust while wearing a bra.

WAIST: measure around the smallest point of your natural waistline.

SHOULDER TO WAIST: measure from the very top of your shoulder - where the fashion seam would lie, down the front, over the bust, to your waistline.

LENGTH: measure from the top of your shoulder, down the front, and to the point where the hem would be. Inseam measurements for pants would be measured from the inside of the leg at the very top of the groin, down to the hem.

✦ SHOE SIZING - I tale actual measurements inside the shoe from toe to heel, as well as width measurements inside the shoe as accurately as possible.
