Unsigned Miriam Haskell Vintage Woven Plastic Coil Knot Translucent Pink and Blue fashion and White Pierced Earrings
fashion These knot earrings are made from a unique nylon plastic coil woven and knotted into place. This takes a lot of craftwork. The colors are lovely pastel versions of pink, blue and white, a color combo trend from the 1930's. The backs were in disrepair so I replaced them with the gold plated (tested and verified) pierced ones that you see now in place. I recently sold a pair of almost identical earrings with clip backs known to be used by Miriam Haskell (page 80 of Cathy Gordon's book on Haskell) with the flat back clip with raised metal center, two side grooves. I'll let you decide if you are a Haskell collector as these early unsigned pieces are hard to absolutely confirm. There is a beautiful ethereal look to the design of these unusual pierced knotted early plastic tri-color earrings.
