Old soft quilt. Only time does this to a quilt. On the thickish side. Signed by the maker Mrs Fred McGee.
I'm guessing 1930s or so. Small squares hand stitched together and quilted with square outline with a thick pink thread. The back is 4 large beige squares stitched together.
Purchased at a clean estate sale. Not a dirty digger sale. It is cleanish but has fashion multiple stains and holes. Mostly smaller holes and mainly just worn from use. The edges are all worn. I'm calling it a cutter but it's still quite usable and functional. In between a cutter and well maintained quilt. You could take it camping or keep in the car or use by the fire pit or on a picnic or make a jacket. You could lighten the stains with a soak and laying in the sun to dry.
Shown on a queen bed.
