Here is an original small portrait painting of the 1930s Hollywood Movie Star Jean Harlow. This is an amateur painting that captures the Art Deco ear star nicely. She was famous for her femme fatale laughing vamp persona with Platinum hair and pencil-thin eyebrows. Jean Harlow (born Harlean Harlow Carpenter; March 3, 1911 – June 7, 1937) was an American actress. Known for her portrayal of "bad girl" characters, she was the leading sex symbol in the early 1930s. This painting is framed in an Art Deco wood frame with dark gold paint, and the painting itself is current. The entire piece measures 8 3/4 x 11 in. and the painting fashion only measures 7 x 9 in. The artist signed on the front left Bell and on the back has it titled and signed. The painting is in very good condition and the frame is in fair /good condition with some minor chips to the compo on all corners and some staining /darkening in a spot on the right side.
