Vintage Rosewood Hand Carved Mother and Calf fashion Elephants

This is a vintage hand carved African elephant from Africa. This beautiful piece of rosewood has a fabulous shine which brings out the wonderful grains and lines of the wood itself.
The piece depicts a mother elephant gently nudging her calf with her trunk. Her ears are out and large with detailed creasing and both have textured trunks.
