Print - Tiller fashion Kingfisher

A Kingfisher sat atop a canal boat's tiller ornament.

A4 and oil pastel, this one is quite special to me, as the canal boat in question belongs fashion to my grandmother, for whom this picture was a 90th birthday present. The kingfisher in question is not actually real, rather it's a brass model, part of the tiller pin it's sitting on that I added colour and feathers to.

One of the fiddliest pieces I've done; I actually had to use the point of a pin to add some of the details to the feet and eye, but I'm very happy with the result.
