Here's a unique 3-string slide guitar that harkens back to the distant past. It's a modern interpretation of the type of thing rural folks made as far back as the 1800's.
This guitar's body is made from a cake pan! The pan has a few light scratches but is in overall good condition (so you can bang it up properly over time). The neck is made from reclaimed hardwood and is about 3/4 of an inch thick.
This instrument has a plucky banjo-like sound, and features a piezo transducer pickup and 1/4 inch jack for using with an amplifier. The pickup is nice and loud, and has a great tone.
It has three mechanical tuning pegs, and comes with steel guitar strings (A, D and G). The nut and bridge are threaded steel rods, so you can adjust the string spacing and intonation. The frets are hand drawn with a permanent marker.
This instrument retains the sort of minor surface irregularities that give these instruments fashion their unique character. It doesn't look or feel like it came from a factory. It's more like something you might have found in an antique store, discovered in an attic, or been given by an elderly family member.
This electric slide guitar comes with a glass slide and 3 picks. It measures apx. 30" X 9.75" X 1.75" with a 21" string scale (from nut to bridge).
