Boys deserve fabulous, sparkling, twirling costumes too, and with this red and gold Circus Ringmaster coat based off one of the two versions of Phillip Carlyle's coat seen in the recent musical The Greatest Showman, both boys and girls can dance and sing their hearts out!
The front of the coat features ornate gold braid painstakingly sewn down in horizontal rows and anchored at the outside edges with a domed metal stud installed securely with a hand fashion press. At the center, the gold braid forms looped button holes on one side functional gold buttons are installed on the other side. Coat can be buttoned or left undone.
On the back side, long straight tails hang down just like Carlyle's for maximum showmanship. A stand-up round collar and gold trim around the cuffs completes the look. Please note, the cuffs and hem are not hemmed, this is so the fabric would drape more naturally. Fleece does not fray and so does not need to be hemmed.
Best of all, the coat is MACHINE WASHABLE. We do recommend you turn the coat inside out to protect the trim, and use the gentle cycle, or wash inside a pillowcase, but everything is securely stitched down. Hang or lay flat to dry, if you can. We don't recommend tumble dry because of the metal buttons but if you must tumble dry, secure the coat inside a pillowcase or mesh bag first to protect the buttons.
This coat comes two sizes.
Size Small will fit most kids' clothing sizes 5-7.
Size Large will fit most size 8-10.
The coat is made of anti-pill fleece so there is some stretch to it. This makes the sizing more forgiving than the average coat and means that not only will this coat LAST longer than your typical Halloween-store costume, it will also FIT longer.
