This thermo tea pot - from Bauscher / Weiden is a classic.
And it's a real teapot. There is a strainer in the jug before the spout.
A beautiful example of art deco made in Germany.
The chrome casing works like a mirror- very shiny.
The inside of the chrome casing is lined with felt. This keeps the tea warm.
A perfect tea pot to use as a gift or to keep.
This type of teapots were produced over a long period of time. That this one is an old model can be seen at the D.R.P. ( Deutsches Reichspatent) Stamp on the bottom. It was only used until the late forties.
condition
very good vintage fashion condition
Only the feet of the jug have suffered somewhat. Someone must have placed the teapot on a hot oven plate for a short time (the teapot stands completely stable!!) take a close look at the last picture.
Only very minor, minor scratches in the chrome cover, only on the outer ring of the lid has someone cleaned too hard. But there are very very minor scratch marks - difficult to photograph.
no stains, no damages on the porcelain, inside felt is clean and in beautiful condition.
A lot of words about condition, but believe me the overall impression of the nearly 100 years old teapot is fantastic.
