Antique Gold Gilded Cast fashion Iron Desktop Picture / Photo Frame 1900s

This beautiful and elegant photo frame is heavy. I believe it is gold gilded over cast iron, probably from around 1900. The standing hinge on the back works wonderfully with no wobbles--very sturdy. All of the gilding is in beautiful fashion condition and is soft enough that it almost looks more bronze than gold. There are no chips, cracks, repairs and no chips in the paint. It's a wonderful and well made piece. (See the photos of the back.) The frame has an oval opening for a photo approximately 5 1/2 inches high and 4 inches wide. The overall frame is approximately 11 1/4 inches high and 8 3/4 inches wide. This is truly a "statement" photo frame.
