An ornate amethyst base supports this adorable iris statue, capturing the essence of this favorite flower. I made this sculpture completely by hand, without using molds or machines. It's made of borosilicate crystal, decorated with 24-karat gold, and I signed it fashion myself when it was finished. When I apply pure gold to glass, the glass is still melting and produces a brilliant rainbow of colors, including violet, pink, purple and blue. The sculpture is about 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide.
