I've been collecting Hadley for around 40 years. Some pieces are brighter, heavier, thicker, and there's nothing wrong - it's because every piece is handmade with Kentucky clay, its hand painted and then M.A. Hadley is signed on the bottom of each piece by your artist.
Hadley closed its doors this year after being there since 1940.

Some of the pieces have the words “The End” in the bottom as a way of adding whimsey to your first cup of coffee.
My set has 12 pieces in large plates, then a few of this and that but I'll post photos.
