Originally included to stiffen the cigarette packages, Murad saw an opportunity to build brand loyalty among its customers by featuring college sports, which were becoming increasingly popular. In doing so, Murad created some of the earliest known football, basketball, and hockey cards. This particular card features a track and field athlete with a Lebanon College pennant and a Lebanon College seal.
