A rare, exquisite silver plated model of a greyhound/whippet mounted on an ornately decorated base. A great gift or as a collection piece.

Marked on the underside WMF.B which was used to mark WMF items known as Britannia Metal.

WMF (originally Würtemburgische Machin Fabrik AG), originally founded in 1853 in Geislingen an der Steige, Germany. In 1880 there was an amalgamation of Straub & Sohn and A Ritter & Co. and the factory became famous for domestic and art metalware with an appropriate change of fashion name to Würtemburgische Metallwaren Fabrik AG.

Condition: Honest antique condition, has an old repair to rear leg which has been blackened so it barely shows. Loss of plate and tarnish in places. Please study all photos which form part of the description and condition. No original packaging.
